James Scott endured the toughest streets, prison, and near death.

After enrolling in ITT-Technical school majoring in information technology, James began following his dreams of writing. He hopes to entertain the world with the tales of the dark side.

Tell us about your background.

I was born and raised in Buffalo N.Y., poor but with big dreams. Despite my background, I was rich in heart. Through the grace of God, I was given a second chance to relive my life in different circumstances.

What themes does your book explore and what do you hope the readers will take away from the experience?

The genre is crime, thriller, and suspense. I would like to invite the readers to visit a world that some may know but are too afraid to acknowledge it. The story has its ups and downs, but it’s the characters I want the readers to meet.

What prompted you to be an author and were you influenced by a person, artist, or genre?

I’ve always been an avid reader of writers like Harold Robbins, Sydney Sheldon, and James Patterson, to name a few. I was inspired to write because of the unusual things I’ve lived through along with the things I have seen.

If you could compare your book to any other existing works, which ones would it be and why?

Mario Puzo, because it’s about the Mafia, organized crime.

Tell us about your latest work and what inspired you.

My latest novel, Crazy Deranged is about my experience of dealing with a woman that didn’t have it together. She was possessive, angry, and a fatal attraction.
