Rexx Electas is an up-and-coming Canadian singer, songwriter & performer from Toronto Ontario.
Tell us about your background. Who are you, and where are you from?
Hi, my name is Rex Electas; singer, songwriter & performer from Toronto On. After traveling all around the world, I came to realize that music unites people, so I started creating it, making it, and producing it. I’m an acoustic guitar player that specializes in live music and urban performances.
What themes does your music explore, and what do you hope the readers will take away from this interview?
I make good music, which means I invoke feel-good feelings to the listeners. mostly because my music is about self-improvement, expression, and free thought. it is also very inspiring to me that every time I record, it feels like a spiritual, emotional, and physical awakening process; Which is great because my music has literally changed my life.
What prompted you to be a musician, and were you influenced by a particular person, artist, or genre?
Other than the thought of music being an anchor to bringing people together, my little foster child sister inspired me to become a musician. I used to sing her lullabies songs in order for her to go to sleep, then I started writing her songs, she really liked it a lot.
If you could compare your music to any other existing works, which ones would they be, and why?
I compare my music to the likeness of Elton John.
Tell us about your latest work and what inspired you.
Thank you, Paul Collins, for this interview.
