She Had a Reason
She had a reason to love
more years had passed when she saw him
she held him in her dreams
through bouts of doubt
when she could barely understand
the blows
but she saw him
in her dreams
and held him as star
when they threw her out
of the closed circle of queens to
his majesty
her forbidden dreams
roamed the wilds
of her heart
abandoned and reviled
He stood at the edge
a beacon of constant hope
and one day in the silence of the morning dew
A soft touch
strong arms around her tired limbs
he carried her across the threshold
to another existence
and another life.
Your work talks to me, I can hear it and this means a great deal. Thanks for sharing. Sincerely, Nancy
Fine work again, Biola!
You’ve put forth a dream in a way I could almost taste Biola.
Your words are like banners to me. Encouraging and deeply appreciated, nancy, Andrew and RH Politz. Thank you so much.
