Men Who Love to Get Their Hands Dirty

Author Rhonda Lee Carver writes spicy love stories. Her specialty is men who love to get their hands dirty.

Tell us about your background. Who you are, where you are from?

Rhonda Lee Carver- I’m going to add a bio. Suffering from years of hopeless romantic notions with sexy, sassy heroines and bad-ass heroes taking residence in her mind, Rhonda decided to write, bringing the stories alive. She has published an array of spicy love stories. Her specialty is men who love to get their hands dirty.

Men Who Love to Get Their Hands DirtyWhen Rhonda isn’t crafting edge-of-your-seat, sizzling novels, you will find her with her children, watching soccer, watching a breathtaking movie, traveling to exotic places, doing (or trying) yoga, and finding new ways to keep life interesting.

Rhonda thrives on making her readers happy. She believes life can be a challenge, but reading is a place where fantasy comes to life. Everyone deserves romance—one page at a time…

What themes does your book explore and what do you hope the readers will take away from the experience?

Rhonda Lee Carver- The theme for With Honor is the idea of honor, and when a military man who bleeds red, white, and blue is faced with a decision that will put his “honor” at stake. I hope readers will walk away with forgiveness for a hero for a lie he told because, in the long run, it was for the best. And for the heroine, I hope readers connect with her vulnerability and her desire to look out for her family.

What prompted you to be an author and did you have a specific inspiration in mind? Were you influenced by a certain person, artist, or genre?

Rhonda Lee Carver- I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up at the age of 13. I read my first romance novel and I was hooked. Although my path has been marred with obstacles and dust bunnies, I have reached my goal and now have a new list, which includes a number of books I’d like to write in the next few years. I’m keeping that number a secret so I don’t give myself too much pressure…lol

If you could compare your book to any other existing works, which ones would it be and why?

Rhonda Lee Carver- No way. I believe each writer has his/her own style. Now if others make a comparison, that’s fine 🙂

Tell us about your latest work and what inspired you.

Rhonda Lee Carver- I love writing military romances because I’m known for my fondness of bad-ass men. I guess we’re socialized to think of men in uniform as bad-asses, right? Every book I’ve written has a hero who is less-than-charming until I tweak him through the pages of my book. I believe readers like being witnesses to the transformation.

Thanks for taking the time for this interview. All the best!
