Nikki Smyles

I have been writing for 16 years now. I remember I was 12, and I had just finished The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, when it hit me, this is what I want to do. I want to tell a story and captivate someone so thoroughly that they are inside it, that they feel and see and taste what I created.

Writing started out as a hobby and quickly turned into my therapy. I'm at my best after I've written, even if it's a sentence or two. It's the most incredible feeling to create a new world, and to bring the characters that have been walking around my head to life.

My dream is to be an author someday, although it scares me, LOL. But I'm not giving up, I've worked for 16 years at this and not following through would mean all that work was for nothing. So I'm sucking it up, and jumping in...with my eyes closed and my teddy bear squeazed tightly ;).
