The Fae and the Huntsman
The Fae came down the mountain, down,
her heart as soft as rain,
for she had fallen Fae in love,
with a huntsman on the plain.
The Fae came down the mountain, down,
her song soft as a sigh,
and sang him deep to faerie sleep,
with a Fae soft lullaby.
The Huntsman dreamed he had a dream,
of endless summer skies,
of silver wings, and faerie rings,
of a queen with opal eyes.
The Huntsman dreamed he had a dream,
of endless winter skies,
of gray and old, alone and cold,
of a queen with empty eyes.
The Fae came down the mountain, down,
her heart as soft as rain,
for she had fallen Fae in love,
with a shepherd on the plain.
