Scotsman who had a nomadic childood in Africa and went back there to work as a rural developoment officer after school and short service as an RAF pilot. I spent many years developing water resources all over the Afican continent, geberally living under the most basic conditions and sledom speaking my own language. I kept notebooks thoghout my years there in which I stores everything from working notes to people I met, scenes I say , meals, animals and much, much more. Thsese have now become a valuable writing resource.
Twenty seven years ago I changed direction and retrained as an Industrial psychologist bec ause I was interested in motivation and why people had chosen to work on and follow through with the projects Ihad been initiating. One thing led to another and Ispent twenty years designing leading edge people development programmes for those working in industry in Uk and Europe.
After a health scare involvingt a triple bypass followed by dialysis and a kidney transplant I took to writing full time, have tow books in pring and three more being published in 2011.
