Editorial Reviews
“…this author is talented at writing a mystery that keeps the attention of the reader…”
“…It had suspense, intrigue, action, murder, and a bit of the who-done-it!”
“I enjoyed this story – a relief from the heavy things I’ve been reading lately. It’s everything a good, short, relaxing read of a mystery should be: Just enough interesting characters to keep track of suspects, possible motives, and clues.
Just enough painting of the settings to imagine being there. Just enough potential romance to keep it interesting.
Just enough reasonableness for the solution to be believable.
Just a good, short read that I can recommend to fill in the empty spaces in the day.”

“What She Didn’t Know 2 continues Ms. Gitt’s ability to weave a story that is exciting and engages the reader. The book leaves you wanting more, which Ms. Gitt will provide her readers in a forthcoming novel that continues her main character’s saga. Ms. Gitt does not spend a lot of verbiage on descriptions of the surroundings, one of the aspects that makes her books so appealing to me.”

“Having recently read “What She Didn’t Know” Part 1 by author Particia E. Gitt, I became so intrigued with the exciting but traumatic life of Sally Scott, who having gone through her husband Tytler’s accidental death on their long awaited vacation to Antarctica, and her discovery of what she didn’t know about her husband’s duplicity, I could hardly wait to read “What She Didn’t Know 2”, by the same author.
As a widow myself, I enjoyed Sally’s personal and business life expand as she learns to cope with both her widowhood, a horrific murder, and the growth of her business acumen. In the midst of the rebuilding of her life, she is thrust into the middle of a murder investigation, heightening her awareness of life beyond her world of social isolation.”

WHAT SHE
DIDN’T KNOW 2
Of Widowhood and Murder
By Patricia E. Gitt
Her routine for the past three years began as it did several times each week, with a jog around her new Manhattan neighborhood. What she hadn’t expected was to be thrust in the midst of a murder investigation.
Chapter 1
Stiff from sleeping in a cramped position, Sally rushed out of her apartment and with hands pressed against the hall wall just outside her door, she began stretching her calf muscles. When the elevator located three apartments away opened, she couldn’t move fast enough before the door snapped close.
Shaking her head, she thought she’d seen an aberration. Something on the floor… a pile of fabric? The building kept the elevators and hallways clean with nary a spot, dent, or stain to mar the buildings’ public spaces.
Confused, she hurriedly pushed the down button once again. Thankfully, another elevator arrived in seconds, and sprinting in, she hit the button for the lobby. Without her morning coffee, she was still a bit foggy-minded… Better watch my footing this morning or I’ll trip and that would really mess up my day.
“Hi, Joe,” Sally greeted the building’s doorman. He always had a smile for her at this early hour. One of the more pleasant things about her decision to move into the city and not stay isolated out in the suburbs. That was three years ago, 2018. Where did the time go?
“Joe, did you happen to see anything strange in the number 3 elevator?”
“No, Mrs. Scott. Let me check the camera. What do you think you saw?”
“This may sound crazy, but either someone dropped their coat or was slumped on the floor?”
“I do see something. I’ll get it checked out. Enjoy your run.”
Nodding, and with a wave, Sally walked out of the building’s entrance and began a slow jog toward Broadway. At 6 a.m., the August morning sun had just begun to rise behind her. Okay ole girl, down to 14th Street and back up via Irving Place, twice around Gramercy Park and home.
With the route set, she let her mind wander. It was a three-day-a-week ritual, rain or shine, and Sally, who only started to jog around the neighborhood after she signed her third client, now looked forward to the regularity of the exercise that let her mind roam free of problems and feelings of loneliness.
What was in the elevator? she wondered as she continued her leisurely pace. Joe will find out. He’s a font of building information.
