Living Or Existing

“The best way to prepare for life is to begin to live.”

Are you going through life living a mundane existence?
Are you going through life feeling as if you are just here and nothing more?
Are you waking up, going to work, home, and starting all over again?

Living Or ExistingWell, that’s fine because we all have to eat.
But when is merely breathing, walking, and just getting by enough?

I find myself writing this because I’ve grown tired of floating along and not living life to the fullest.

I’m now striving on a daily basis to pursue what makes me happy. I’m working towards my goals and my dreams.

There are so many things I want to accomplish before I leave this earth. I know I’m not the only person with a desire to do more.

That desire may be to travel, buy a home, start your own business, and even become a millionaire.

Or in my case, publishing my novels and pursuing other entrepreneurial sparks flying around within me.

Whatever the case may be, go for it! Today is the day! Right now is the moment to do the damn thing!
Whatever it is, I do like NIKE and just do it!

Write that novel! Fly that plane! Take that dream trip of a lifetime! Graduate from college! Ride that motorcycle! (That’s me.)

Drag through whatever you have to get through to take hold of your inspiration and desires and go for it!

I know I’m repeating myself. But there’s no other way to put it. Please do what makes you happy. If there are barriers, try your hardest to knock them down.

I know it may not be easy. I can attest to this because I myself have barriers that I breakthrough.

But at least make an effort to do what makes you happy. Please don’t live the last of your days thinking about what you should have done. Life is too short to let opportunities for happiness pass you by.

In the end, think of Elbert Hubbard’s advice: “The best way to prepare for life is to begin to live.”

You made some Good points there. I did a search on the topic and found most people will agree.

What an existentialistic story! I really enjoyed this so very much. Any chance of a sequel?

Some of those “wished for things” I’ve done, some are unattainable and others are still in process, so to speak. I believe your advice is sound as long as one’s limitations are kept in mind. Of course, occasionally, some limitations should be pushed beyond the boundaries, past the envelope of fear of failure and self doubt, just to experience the possibilities.

    Kudos to you Eleanie.
