A Woman’s Story

Friday, March 8th, 2013 was International Women’s Day. The entire month of March, is celebrated as Women’s History Month, among other notable cause for celebrations, including Women’s Health Month!

At my website for women, it’s all about “woman power” and not because I’m a poster girl for anti man, far from it, but, because I have always viewed us as the “underdog.” I suppose it goes without saying, how a look back in History, confirms my female -gendered bias.

As the creator of authentic-woman.net, I feel compelled to offer a forum for women voices, where we share life experiences that includes our hopes, dreams, passions and desires. As women, we have embarked upon a mission to live happy and wholesome in every aspect of life by participating in awesome experiences, creating fond memories, leaving a legacy for our children and grandchildren by contributing to, and helping to make a difference in the lives of others.

As woman, activist, advocate and motivator, I am well aware of my passion for this purposeful undertaking that requires skills talents, tenacity, prayer and pig-headiness. The journey to living and encouraging how to live an authentic life isn’t “a rose garden.” People will try to keep you from living up to your full potential. Setbacks will attempt to bring you to your knees. Indifference will perplex and create negative energy into the possibilities of your purpose. Living and learning, applying and implementing life lessons usually takes a beating before it allows you to rise up and walk.

When you feel like you’ve been tossed into a sea of choppy waters, without a life jacket and you’re screaming for someone to throw out a life preserver and no one hears? You’re not living, but, merely co-existing in a world rich with possibility. Twelve years ago and counting, I awoke, divorced, jobless, suffering from empty nest syndrome, only to find  out, there was no” Knight in Shining Armor” coming to rescue me.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but, I was on a journey to “becoming” and I was fighting it every step of the way. What exactly is this journey to becoming? It is simply the journey to change. A journey that brings with it, fear, doubts and uncertainty – a fear of what lies ahead. I was reluctant to re-awaken to my truths, as I’m sure many of you will be. Once you began the journey to re-discovery, your life’s meaning will shine with brilliance and purpose.

Clara Freeman continues on a journey to re-awakening to truth. She mentors other women in their uncertainty via email contact.
