Lair of the Lycanthrope
Lair of the Lycanthrope
It happened just as Nookie said it would, no one was allowed to venture into the forest until further notice. It wasn’t so bad, thankfully there was food stockpiled and we were ready for many days of seclusion if needed.
The turmoil around me in every direction caused me to become introspective. I was lost in thoughts of my own turmoil. Was it Van who caused this? Why hasn’t he contacted me?
Nookie could see I was despondent; he stayed close to me but said nothing. Later in the day he did finally speak with me to say he was going home to check on his family.
I nodded and smiled and watched him leave. Excusing myself to my room and laying down on my bed, I thought I might have to except the fact that Van was not able to control himself and I would have to move on.
I cried for the loss and tried to push away the memories of our time together in the temple.
I had missed dinner by the time I finally emerged from my room. Nookie was there and he came immediately to my side.
“You okay?” He bent down to look into my eyes, “Let’s get some air.” He pulled me along with him to the door telling everyone we would be back soon.
The village was like a ghost town. Usually teeming with activity, it was now quiet and everyone was inside as darkness fell.
“We shouldn’t be out after dark.” I pulled backward on Nookie’s hand.
He smiled, “I’ll protect you. Come on, I need to hold you in my arms; I need a little comfort too.”
I was sure he had in mind a little more than just that but I followed after him.
We ended up on the far side of the village near the stream. Sitting down we dangled our toes in the water as we talked. His arm was gently around my shoulders. The conversation was dominated by the recent events, until Nookie pulled me closer and kissed me.
The kiss was gentle and sweet, it uncovered an urge I had been suppressing. I kissed him back, and the kiss then turned into one with passion and need. We leaned back to the grass, exploring each other intimately.
The sounds of our breathing and an occasional gasp or quiet moan mixed with the rustle of the tall grass kept us discreet.
The long-awaited joining of our bodies was imminent. Our clothes had been stripped away from the beginning of our embrace and Nookie took his time to know every inch of my body and how it tasted. I reciprocated with pleasure; his powerfully built frame tantalized me. He was more aggressive than I as he pinned me under him. He possessed me in a sensuous, soothing way.
Stopping long enough to look me in the eye, Nookie breathed softly, “I have wanted you for so long.”
I couldn’t answer, I didn’t have an answer. I only knew what I needed at that moment. “Take me”
The words had hardly left my mouth when I could feel him enter me. Filling me completely, he pressed into me with force, and then settled into a rhythm. I matched his passion with my own, as I dug my fingers into the grass beside me; I arched my back in ecstasy.
Our lovemaking was at its peak and I turned my head to the side. As my body convulsed in pleasure I looked across the rushing water of the stream to see a wolf, standing on two legs, glaring at me with cold amber eyes. With the realization of what I had just seen, I whispered, “Oh no!”
Nookie looked up in time to see the wolf return to all fours and disappear into the brush. He looked down at me saying nothing. Kissing me softly he rolled to one side and then stood. I sat up and watched him for a moment. He walked toward the stream. I stood and joined him. We quickly rinsed our bodies before returning to the grass to clothe ourselves again. Nookie turned to me then and asked, “Van?”
Hello Yezall,
This story really steamed up my reading glasses!
Keep posting, please. You have a new fan 🙂
Great teaser – I’ve bought the book and now I need to move it closer to the top of the TBR pile.
Any work from this lady is well worth a read, her stories are thrilling and when she writes her racy ones, steamed glasses are the result. She has a way of drawing you into the story slowly and keeping you interested, rather than throwing masses of action at you, then having to wait for the follow up. I can recommend any of her books
