Liberty, Equality, Fraternity

“I don’t feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them. Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves,” John Wayne told Playboy magazine in 1971.

Five days before Christmas 2011, I was on a subway train when it was announced that there had been an on-track injury. In the end, this person survived and was carried out on a stretcher by the paramedics. At the same time, in 2022, a young black lady, who was possibly aged 23ish, collapsed on the subway platform; it took ten minutes for the ambulance to arrive.

When the paramedics were on the scene, they began chest compressions, and I don’t think the lady survived. Zap to five days before Christmas 2023, I just arrived at Yonge and Bloor Station at 12 noon; a twenty-something Indian lady (from India) was crying, shaken up badly, and being escorted from the subway platform by transit police to be questioned on a transit bench.

When I asked around, I was told that a lady had jumped in front of a speeding subway train. It stopped just in time, and she walked away unscathed. (only to prove someone was looking out for her) “It stopped just in time,” an eyewitness told me.

“Very close, but it stopped just in time,” he added. I then decided to film a clip of the situation, where the trains were all blacked out, and it amounted to a 1.5-minute clip for YouTube.

I then uploaded it to YouTube at @FilmDudePaulCollins, and YouTube emailed me the following statement, which read:

Hi Paul Collins,
We wanted to let you know our team reviewed your content, and we think it violates our self-harm policy. We know you may not have realized this was a violation of our policies, so we’re not applying a strike to your channel. However, we have removed the following content from YouTube:

Video: Transit Suicide
Time it occurred: You can see an example at 00:00:33 in your video. While this is one example, there may be other instances.
We realize this may be disappointing news, but it’s our job to make sure that YouTube is a safe place for all. If you think we’ve made a mistake, you can appeal this decision – you’ll find more details below.

What our Policy Says

We do not allow content that contains real-world suicide imagery on YouTube. This includes graphic or insufficiently blurred imagery of victims, imagery of the method of suicide, as well as imagery of suicide attempts. We do, however, allow users to post content discussing experiences with depression, suicide, self-harm, or other mental health issues.

We review educational, documentary, artistic, and scientific content on a case-by-case basis. We make limited exceptions for content with sufficient and appropriate context and blurring, content without graphic imagery, and content where the purpose of posting is clear.

Thus, one more strike against my YouTube channel, and I am kicked off of the platform. Talk about Generation Snowflake.

FYI, does anyone know that the top CEOs and executives earn 200 million a year, including golden parachutes, proving our freedom of speech is in danger? For one thing, we are not a progressive or civilized society. I keep looking at my own experience in life.

In 2007 I published my book Mystery of Everyman’s Way at E Treasures Publishing, and I scored lots of good reviews, it still sells all over the internet, and I’ve not yet received a penny for it.

In 2011, I self-published my next book, Mack Dunstan’s Inferno, through iUniverse, and after five years of blogging, I was told to get an IRS because the second publisher has a revenue-sharing agreement (RSA) with Chapters Indigo and Barnes and Noble in the United States, giving us scribes a chance at earning a living from writing books. On a hunch, I brought my situation to the concern of Chapters Indigo, and this was their response:

Hi Paul,
Thanks for writing. I’m sorry you are having trouble here. Your publisher is responsible for tracking sales and paying royalties. Any books we sell would correspond with purchase orders Indigo sends to the publisher. Regarding eBooks, we do not sell these ourselves; we share book listings from our content partners at Kobo, and they process all sales.

Tax Evasion

FYI, –this is tantamount to tax evasion because iUniverse, you guessed it, forced me to get an IRS number in hopes of getting paid for book sales. As expected, these big companies don’t pay a penny and pad their bottom line, upping their profits up more and more. Naturally, I took my complaint to YouTube, but the government doesn’t care, nor does big business. As a matter of fact, has anyone ever met a successful businessperson who was enlightened? Or a politician that was issue-driven, not career-oriented?

To add insult to injury, everywhere I go, there is a homeless person. Everywhere. According to CTV News, the Canadian Government has “aggressively increased their targets over the past several years and surpassed records for the number of permanent residents admitted in a year in both 2021 and 2022.”

If that is not bad enough, the Canadian Government has also set “new targets for the next three years in Parliament, which call for the number of new permanent residents to hold steady at 500,000 in 2026. The plans show that the targets for 2024 and 2025 will increase as planned to 485,000 and 500,000, respectively.”

So, jobs are scarce, and the cost of buying a home, or even renting, is beyond the average homeowner. Whenever I watch the mainstream media, they repeat the same talking points of LGBTQA+ representation, colonialism, cultural appropriation, sexuality, race, ability, inclusivity, marginalization, sexism, racism, poor women with disabilities face even more oppression, disenfranchised, victim perception, systemic oppression, Negative representation of minorities, discrimination, Systemic oppression…it never ends.

Does everyone realize that five families own the world’s corporate media? For one thing, if one owns the media, you can control what people think.

Remember, the French Revolution began in 1787 and ended in 1799 when Louis XIV and the French royal family went to the scaffold, and France became a republic. It didn’t take long for this event to inspire the American Revolution. When the people of France overthrew their ancient government in 1789, they took as their slogan the famous phrase Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.

Some people wonder why I am part of the End of Days crowd. To come full circle, if I were to recommend a movie at this time (and these are strange days too), I would suggest one should view Die Hard 1 (1998), Die Hard 2 (1990), Towering Inferno (1974), and the movie Armageddon (1998).

BTW, Elon Musk restored my old Twitter account, and if you are bored, or if you are daring, follow me.
