True Colours
The sub-conscious mind, a place you can think,
Devoid of skin colour, creating a link,
A spiritual connection spread far & wide,
Allows us to put prejudice aside,
To share thoughts with our brothers,
Fathers, sisters or mothers,
Whether that be of blood or of creed,
Or those who feel, they just have a need,
To share thoughts of the life that they live,
Or the spiritual love, they freely give,
So others will know of their hurt or pain,
Or how being different, can be a strain
The knowledge of others, the feelings they lack
Who with hatred & savagery, need to attack
All, who share love, with a certain mystique
Because they can’t see, we all are, unique
Having their own ways, but still human too
With a mind, body & soul, just like you
