When jumped the gun and lost out on good opportunities,

Hello Walter, of course, your title intrigued me and then surprised me with mountains instead of cakes. When I volunteer at Mary’s Haven, a home for the dying, I am reminded of how time and life can rush by. Sometimes, we wake up forty and wonder where the other thirty-nine years went. At Mary’s Haven, people wake up at all ages and know that whatever life they had before today is gone and a future is unlikely. Still, some make amazing decisions that bring joy to their days and bring fun to ours, as well. Both men and women who knew how to do life well seem also to know how to die well, comfortable with what they have done and where they believe they are going.
