We are Tunisian and proud to be
We knocked a tyrant down called Ben Ali
It was the first time we felt free
With martyrs blood, we water the Tunisian tree.

That has countless branches but remains the same tree
So high in the sky even clouds are glad to see
How this great people can live in an aerie
Proud, patriot, brave and owners of dignity.

The Egyptians made proof of great tenacity
Tens, thousands, then millions who called the world’s curiosity
To see how peacefully they can change history
And give a lesson on how peace can vanquish autocracy
