Old Buford
Old Buford
I came upon old Buford,
and he grinned a toothless grin.
I shook his scarred and wrinkled hand,
and asked him how he’d been.
He said, ” They tell me I’ve been better,
but I just can’t remember when,
for it’s best to think on what is now,
not on what was, or might have been.”
Love your work. Big fan. I like the last line the best. for it’s best to think on what is now,
not on what was, or might have been.“
