Nine Haiku at a Corporation

Nine Haiku at a Corporation
Dwelling in the dim
hallway – sounds echo – I am
lingering intent

I fall on a whim
wiping sarcasm off and fill
my cup to the brim

wish to make a dent
they all do – bleeding white lamb
sacrifice is grim

universal lives
replicated on the web
of a spider’s mind

symbolism survives
in those of us left behind
watch for just used knives

stranger, help me find
my lost illusions – the ebb
and flow of pearl dives

lamp shades just for show
light bulbs made to conserve light
coffee without heat

I keep my head down low
avoid glances – in the end
we all take a bow

the sound of defeat
one hand clapping out of sight
watch your stock price grow.
