My Dear Mother
My Dear Mother
My Mother is the most outstanding woman
I will ever know in my lifetime.
She is of that of a bloomed flower,
She is perfection.
Welcoming any who need food and shelter
Regardless of their lack of participation
Or their imperfections
She is unconditional
She forgives
Accepting people at face value
Knowing that they, like spots on a leopard,
May never change.
She welcomes them into her heart, spots and all
Welcome them into her life and heart
Asking nothing in return
My mother was that of a bloomed flower.
She planted many seeds, and a splendid garden grew
For the seeds were planted
For all it takes is a seed, for a flower to bloom
And she, she watered and nurtured many seeds
And an abundant garden grew, and she continued to plant
Never tired nor weary
She was constant, and she remains my Mother.
Meg, thank you for the lovely, heartfelt, and moving paean of praise.
Meg – no matter where – when or how someone loves another person – you can hear the truth in their words, the feelings are real – thank you. Sincerely, Nancy
