Inside Roses
Inside Roses
When I return to roses,
I slough off the dead skin
of cold iron and black branches.
All fear scatters like blue ash
when I slip instead
into warm milky water.
I am inside my heart,
when I am inside roses.
I am like a pearl in the sea.
And all my senses know love,
my whole being is complete
and enfolded in delicate petals.
Maria, very lovely and very beautiful indeed!
