Doggy Heaven

I sit here and I ponder a thought
And then, I stop and pray
Oh, Lord, will I see my beloved
Pet in Heaven one day?

Will she slobber on my face?
Will her tail wag with delight?
Does she know how much I miss her?
Morning, noon, and night?

As I sit here and think of my girl
I have to stop and smile
And think of how lucky I was to have her
If only for a while

I pray she has her favorite treats
And all the love she can stand
I know she plays with Angels now
And lies at God’s right hand.

I know she is in Heaven
As happy as can be
And when I finally leave this Earth
She’ll be there waiting for me.
