Command Your Life
Command Your Life
The room is onyx, quiet, still
I lay in my bed, trying to forget
Thoughts rush through my head
The harsh sounds of the words
Make me ill
One person has so much power
To make you feel non-existent
You let him control your life
As time ticks away on your dreams
Hour by hour
Stand up and seize the day
Realize you have a choice
To let negativity overrun you
Or grab life by the horns
Find your way
Traci, fine work–and fine advice!
Sad but beautiful Traci 🙂
Working through illness is a difficult process – and when no one is on your side, it makes it tougher. Sincerely, Nancy
The ‘horns’ are the key word, it is not easy, always, to hold firmly a steering wheel firmly but I like the word ‘choice’ for life IS made of choices.
I like your poem Tracy. :))
