Bird’s Life

Sometimes I wish I were a bird
Winging by the horizon,
Night and day !
I would sway
with the wind….
And the rains would
touch me
every now and then !

The clouds would be my friends
And I would simply dance
at the rainbow steps..
My feathers would glow
in fresh daylight,
And at night
I would eye the moon,
from the shaft of a tree !
and sing to it
My humble songs..
I would soar up high
and explore the vast sky,
With all others
those who make my life gay.

And then, somehow, someday,
I could meet the creator
up in the skies azure !
I would thank him and beg for
A bird’s life
once more!
