When your alarm clock is screaming, “Get up, get up, get up!” Why are you so reluctant to get out of bed? Do you instead prefer to hide between soft swirly covers with your brain on fire and your heart ready to implode? Has this last year of death and dying left you feeling hopeless? Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth, says Buddha.
There will be those resistant to the vaccine rolling out, but keep in mind that we all must make hard choices and then make final decisions about death and dying. Death is not just about you, but it is also about the people who love you. There are worse things in life than death. Do not give up on hope. Follow your intuition and trust science. When we feel something deep in our gut, it is good to pay attention.
Minds are like flowers; they open only when the time is right.” by Stephen Richards.
If we feel like we are at the end of our rope, it may be because we are given up on faith. We do not exist in isolation. Maybe, you are feeling like a victim. Synchronicity is the coming together of an inner and outer world, where one mirrors the other. This is a natural flow worth trusting and surrendering to. Go with it.
It is no coincidence I was writing this article this week; we are getting our mojo back with fewer cases of Covid due to the successful vaccines given out freely. However, as much as we try to find a reasonable explanation for the ongoing trials of good versus evil in our world, be aware there is not always one.
Friends do not hate. They honestly critique. Do not surround yourself with haters. Maya Angelou tells us, “When someone shows you their true colors, believe them.”
When we feel threatened, we respond with a “fight or flight” response. In communications, the “fight” response would take the form of yelling, arguing, and expressing aggressive behavior. Words like “however,” “but,” “although,” or “instead” can elicit defensiveness. There is nothing more frustrating than thinking about what you could have said once it is too late, right?
You might respond to unwelcome criticism by replying, “Sorry, I did not get that. I do not speak bullshit.” You also might react to a criticism or rebuke, “You are not stupid; you just have bad luck when thinking.” Unfortunately, ignorance about the world and people around is what turns individuals into haters. The hater doesn’t really want to be the person he or she hates. Instead, the hater wants to knock someone else down a notch.”
Of course, a bad childhood can also prevent us from growing up with the confidence we need to evolve without veiled fears.
Veiled Fears Poem
It is a dilemma how the disease has cut us off from each other, with non-kindred spirits transforming order into disorder and contact into death, the meek of us, turned inside-out, green with envy, our hearts black with remorse, our eyes the saddest blues, make us unsure of what to do, and or, what not to do,
We are left walking on eggshells, broken glass while winging solo in a dangerous limbo, playing hide and seek with Covid-19.
