God’s Amazing Pharmacy
My wife, Ms. Cami, forwarded an email to me with the subject line “EAT LOTS OF SWEET POTATOES.”
These are the emails that they want you to send to all your friends so future spam emails will arrive in their inbox.
However, since I love to cook and learn about food, this one intrigued me. So I checked to see if the information is true or false and I will give you the verdict and my opinion at the end along with a free recipe.
It’s been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish. All before making a human. He made and provided what we’d need before we were born. These are best & more powerful when eaten raw. We’re such slow learners.
God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!
God’s Pharmacy! Amazing!
Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow.
Onions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears that wash the epithelial layers of the eyes.
The Holidays are a time for Food, Family & Friends. Many of us gain unnecessary weight due to all these party’s and get-togethers. So when we are at the buffet tables staring at all those goodies, lets try to pick the foods that are healthier for us.

All the findings between food and the body parts they resemble are False!!!!
Tomatoes do contain Lycopene however no proof in connection to our Hearts. Lycopene is an acyclic carotenoid occurring in tomatoes and some other ripe fruit as a red pigment. As an antioxidant, its consumption can reduce the risk of some cancers. So Tomatoes are good for us but no proof good for your heart.
A carrot contains Vitamin A which our body requires daily, however nothing to do with the flow of blood to our eyes. Carrots contain Emmenagogue which stimulates the flow of a menstrual cycle.
Grapes are good for us but not as explained by this email rumor. Grape seeds contain rich flavonoids that are powerful in fighting and protecting against many diseases. Red grape juice or red wine has high concentration of a compound called resveratrol, which is not found in white wine, mainly because of how the wine is made. This compound has anti-aging, anti-cancer, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Summary of the Email
The suggestion of this elaborate rumor is that certain foods that look like various parts of the body also benefit those parts.
This email is very creative as it is interesting, I wanted to believe it. However, there is no evidence or strong documentation of any food nutrition correlates with the body parts they resemble. However, there are many reasons with real evidence that God’s Pharmacy is more than amazing and we should all eat out vegetables.
What is TRUE about this email: God’s Pharmacy is truly amazing.
We all need to eat our vegetables because vegetables do contain nutritional value and all the vegetables and fruits listed above contain certain vitamins and minerals to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The darker the color of the fruit and vegetables we eat – the more nutritional value.

Recipe: Enrichin’ Ratatouille (Italian style)
8 cloves garlic
1 large onion
2 medium eggplants
3 red bell peppers
4 large fresh ripe tomatoes
2 jars Sun-Dried Tomatoes in olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Rinse all vegetables, blanch tomatoes to remove the skin (first, make a small cross cut at the bottom of the tomato through the skin), then crush or chop. Remove skin from eggplants and zucchini. Cut lengthwise in quarters and cube both (about 1 inch in thickness). Cut red bell peppers, remove the seeds and chop them into 1 inch by 1-inch pieces or close to it.
Sauté zucchinis for 3 -4 minutes in olive oil, remove from skillet and place in a large mixing bowl, set aside. In the same skillet sauté eggplant for 4 -5 minutes then remove and add to the zucchinis. Now sauté the red bell peppers in the same skillet (you will have to add a little more oil), for 3 – 4 minutes. Remove peppers and add to the mixing bowl with the zucchini and eggplant. Lightly mix zucchini, eggplant, and red bell peppers, and now is the time to add your salt and pepper.
Add onions to the skillet and sauté until onions start to caramelize then add your 8 cloves of garlic. When you can smell the aroma of the garlic fill your kitchen with love add fresh ripe tomatoes and continue sautéing on medium heat for 2 minutes before adding your optional sun-dried tomatoes, otherwise continue cooking tomatoes for 10 minutes.
At this point you can add the vegetable mixture of zucchini, eggplant and red bell peppers stir and let simmer for a good 20 minutes or until all vegetables are tender to your liking.
I serve this over rice for a fabulous side dish to any meat entrée.
You can add shrimp to this dish and make it a one-dish meal. (I like my shrimp spicy in this dish.)
