Roi Frey

Roi is a sucker for entertainment. He grew up in Israel watching funny American and British films and series, and at the age of 10 started making his own ridiculous news shows and videos on his dad’s VHS camera. In 2003 Roi’s name went down in the history books as the first model ever to ask their producer for a job as a production runner. These days Roi is an indie producer based in the Netherlands, distributing niche films, and developing a sit-com web-series as well as a number of European co-productions. He uses crowdfunding but hates it with a passion, and wishes to explore other ways of using the internet for financing and distribution of content.

Before becoming a producer Roi was an award winning DoP, and a project manager on commercial construction projects. He also worked on a sheep station in Australia, chasing sheep across the outback on a dirtbike. He plays Lacrosse, Ultimate Frisbee and Football, and spends his free time as a board member of a charity.
