Posted by A mesmerizing concert from one of my all time favorites!
I set out to visit Celine’s concert in the Amsterdam Arena, on July 2nd, leaving two hours ahead of time to avoid the traffic jams that I expected to develop. My relaxed feeling of having enough time to get there, evaporated as soon as I got onto the highway, direction Arena. The traffic jam was already there and a sense of panic set in. Was I going to get there in time, or would I remain paralyzed on the highway, like everyone else?
Somehow I found an alternative exit, that got me reasonably close to the Arena stadium, and found a parking space thanks to a ticket reservation from a friend. And…..I was in, and in time for the main event!
Celine gave an incredible performance, keeping songs like “Pour Que Tu M’aimes Encore” and “My Heart Will Go On” to the very last in this concert and the show and choreography of her dancers was beyond my wildest expectations. I have added a picture above, that I made with my cell phone, just to convey some of the setting and feel of this wonderful musical event. I love you Celine, you are truly a global superstar! Can’t wait to see you again!
