Don’t Forget The Ashtrays

Don’t Forget The Ashtrays

Open the door. . . let in some air Don’t you think that it’s kind of stale–in here? Open the windows. . . clear out the smoke Someone in here– Is sure to choke. Clear out the garbage. . . empty the sewage Demand retribution for the crimes you have suffered. For I am the [...]

What More Can I Say

What More Can I Say

What more can I say When the heat turns all a faded gray When the flowers in the vase wilt and die And the children of the blood soaked earth cry Are there Russians out there who still have tears to shed? Can we find anyone soundly asleep in his bed? What purpose do the [...]

Mind Full Of Sex

Mind Full Of Sex

“Sex, sex, sex.” My wife grinned at me with a bemused expression of wonderment. “You have a one track mind,” she said. “Is that all you ever think about?” I answered defensively, “Of course not!” But to tell you the truth, I wasn’t so sure. In order to prove her wrong I began a top-secret [...]

Just some fantasy Or does youth wane to wisdom— Thus reality Tarnish stains [...]

Call Me Jonah

Call Me Jonah

Anger, rage and futility With the weight of the sea— On my shoulders, bearing down— On me, pulling me under to drown I am a mollusk without a sea shell Exposed to the currents of hell Fate like a storm pounds me I am lost in the debris The machine devours me Processing the garbage [...]

Tivoli Theatre A Haven For Ghosts Of The Past

Tivoli Theatre A Haven For Ghosts Of The Past

Rumors had abounded that many ghosts of past employees and old vaudevillian actors still roamed the theatre – especially at night. Many folks claimed to have heard footsteps after the doors were closed for the day. One particular spirit was believed to be that of a man and his security dog that barked and cried at night. Actors and workers within the theatre also related tales of hearing voices when no one else was there.
